Step 1 image, how to layout the sticks in descending size order

1

Clear a large flat surface preferably with a straight edge, a bare piece of skirting board and floor is recommended.
Unpack all your Driftwood pieces taking extra care not to drop or bang them.
Line them up touching the straight edge in ascending/descending order until you have no more sticks.

Unpack your base and pole, preferably into the space where your tree will be sited. If you have a 5 or 6 foot tree this is essential as when fully assembled these will be difficult to move.
Place the pole in the hole in your base (unless already fitted as per 4 - 5 - 6ft)
Slide the "stem/stalk" down the pole until it touches the base (unless already fitted).

3

Take your longest/bottom stick and slide it over the main pole.
WARNING - Do Not Push at Ends - This is liable to result in a broken stick. Always slide stick gently through its center supporting the stick at all times with two hands.
See - Hints and Tips should a piece break.

Your first stick is "a", now take your second stick, "b", and slide it over and down the pole, followed by "c" and "d".
You are making a repeatable four line pattern as show in the diagram.
Once you have completed a set of four you return back to the beginning of the pattern and repeat with "a1", "b1" and so on and on.

As you carry on repeating the stick pattern you will eventually come to the top of the 10mm center pole on 4 - 5 - 6ft trees.
Take the smaller pole and insert taped end first into the top of the 10mm pole. Proceed with pattern. (20" and 3ft trees have one pole only)

You should have run out of sticks by now and be stood in front of a beautiful Driftwood Christmas Tree, place the topper on and you're finished.
Time to start thinking about decorations, lights and cameras. We love to see finished trees already for Christmas, so please do send us a pic should you feel so inclined.
